Telengabagan, 2008

Durga Puja Theme: The Durga Puja organising committee at Telengabagan in the year 2008 created a imaginary temple from North India. The outside walls had mud finish and the roof was made of earthen pots. The inside of the temple had red oil painted walls giving it the authentic look. The mandap had two huge bells for devotees. They also had a small hanuman mandir made on one side which is quite common on most Hindu places of worship. The interior and bamboo ceiling were mesmerising. The idol was a fitting match for the ambience.
